State President: Katherine Langford
What's up, Indiana DECA! My name is Katherine Langford, and I am grateful to serve as your Indiana DECA Prez for Team 77. I am currently a Senior at Avon High School. (Westside–best side). When I'm not at DECA, you can find me preparing for a debate meet, out on the tennis court, or playing cello in our school's symphony orchestra. In my free time, I also enjoy camping, painting, or volunteering in my community. I am looking forward to a great year of “Getting our Edge” with Indiana DECA! Vice President of Career Development: Caleb Koets
What’s up Indiana DECA! I am so pumped to be your VP of Career Development. I am a senior at Jimtown Highschool and am proud to be a fourth year DECA member. DECA isn’t all I do though. I enjoy playing tennis for my school and I play 3 singles for my school. I also enjoy running just as much as you can possibly enjoy every other sport’s punishment. I run cross country and the 1600m and 800m in track. Outside of sports I’m involved in my local church and my school’s yearbook and student council. My goal for this year is to prepare you for competition so you can bring home DECA glass! Let's make this year the best year for Indiana DECA! Vice President of Leadership: Jaskaran Saini
Hey Indiana DECA! My name is Jaskaran Saini, but I go by Jas, and I’m honored to serve as your VP of Leadership. I am a Junior at Hamilton Southeastern Highschool (Go Royals!), and this is my third incredible year in DECA. Beyond DECA, I partake in Key Club, am the Secretary of Aspiring Healthcare Students, and Speech and Debate. I also run track and love playing basketball with my friends. Vice President of Marketing: Dray Caldwell
What’s up Indiana DECA? My name is Dray Caldwell and I’m super excited to serve as your 2022-2023 VP of Marketing. This is my 4th year in DECA and my second year as a State Officer. I am a Senior at Yorktown High School (Go Tigers!) in Yorktown Indiana. In addition to DECA, my extracurricular activities include IHSAA Student Advisory Committee, Champions Together, Yorktown High School’s Ambassador Program, National Honor Society, Dance Marathon Executive Committee Vice Chair, Varsity Cross Country, and Swimming. With the small amount of free time I have, I usually spend it outside with my friends. I am looking forward to a great year serving Indiana DECA. Vice President of Hospitality: Lily Holder
Hey Indiana DECA! I am Lily Holder and I am so excited to take on the role of VP of Hospitality. I am currently a senior at Terre Haute North Vigo High School and this will be my 4th year in DECA. Outside of DECA, I am involved in the National Honors Society, Interact Club, Student Council Treasurer, and a member of TOPSoccer in my community. I am also a member of the varsity soccer team, as well as my club soccer team. I like to take any chance I can to get involved in my school and community, and my goal is to put that effort into getting all chapters of Indiana DECA to participate in statewide community service campaigns this year. Hey Indiana DECA! My name is Kate Simek and I am so excited to serve as your VP of Finance. I am a senior at Plainfield High School and this is my 4th year in DECA. Outside of DECA, I am a captain on my school’s varsity soccer team and I played club soccer at Indiana Fire Juniors. I am class president, a member of NHS, RDM, and I was a candidate in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society student of the year program. Region 1 President: Lauren Edison
Hey Indiana DECA! My name is Lauren Edison, and I am super excited to serve as your next Region 1 President this 2022-2023 school year. I am currently a senior at LaVille Jr. Sr. High School, and this is my third year in DECA. In addition to DECA, I am involved in Varsity Soccer, Varsity Basketball, Varsity Track and Field, National Honors Society, and Unified Basketball. Hey Indiana DECA! I’m Saanvi Sampada and am super excited to serve as your Region 2 President. Currently, I’m a junior at Hamilton Southeastern High School and this is my third year in DECA. Along with DECA, I participate in various other clubs and activities offered at my school ranging from Girls Who Code to Speech and Debate. In my free time I love to draw, spend time with my friends, and learn new tricks on my longboard. Region 3 President: Emma Day
Hey Indiana DECA! My name is Emma Day and I’m beyond excited to serve as your DECA Region 3 President for the 2022-2023 school year. I am a senior at Yorktown High School in Yorktown, IN. This is my third year as a DECA competitor and my first year on the state officer team. Along with DECA, I participate in many other extracurriculars: I am the president of my school's Student Council, swim team captain, tennis team captain, marching band drum major, football manager, Delaware County PRIDE team member (drug prevention council), lifeguard, and Champions Together member. I am eager to get started working in region 3 this year and hope I get the opportunity to meet with ALL of the Indiana delegation! Region 4 President: Vivian Etling
Hey Indiana Deca! I’m Vivian Etling. I am the 2022-2023 Region 4 President. I am a Junior at Northview High school and this is my 3rd year in DECA! I am a chapter officer for my second year now, managing our Instagram page (@northviewdeca). Outside of DECA, I am a part of the Junior Department club, Clay Youth Grant Committee, and Clay Co. Small Business Spotlight. I have danced since I was 4 and play tennis. If I’m not busy with extracurriculars or Canva, you’ll find me at a coffee shop, shopping, or hanging out with my friends and family. I’m so excited to work with Districts 7 & 10 and “Get the Edge”! Hey Indiana DECA! My name is Marie Kingery and I’m so proud to be your 2022-2023 Region 5 President! I am currently a Junior at Brownsburg High School, and this is my third year in DECA. I’m a Varsity Swimmer and I participate in club swimming for Brownsburg. I’m also a member of my school’s spell bowl team. I love space, sunsets, nature, and spending quality time with friends & family. I’m super excited to help make your Indiana DECA experience great this year!
